Running???

Great. I am into running since I have been a runner/triathlete/biathlete for the past 32 years.

I was simply curious about the words that your home page uses referring to the threat to running of public masses joining the active lifestyle by "jogging" (how ever you are defining this).
If you wish to articulate your opinions I would like to read them. If this is a true issue from the members of this site, I would think that you would take this opportunity of a serious inquiry and respond with more than...running.
If your home page introduction to the site is not serious, that is ok too. I was simply requesting some dialogue.

Thanks.

Hey Paul, RUNNING. If you have been a runner for 32 years that should have been enough. If you are here to try and stir thing up, jog away. If you want to know what the site is about, read the posts. It should be obvious to even the most casual observer that this site is about running, for runners and by runners. How's that for dialoque. There are plenty of debate site out there if that's what you are looking for.

it's about running in the most absolute sense of the word... not jogging, not doing family fun runs, not staying in 'cause it's too hot or too cold or it's raining or snowing or there may or may not be a tornado sighting... just running whenever you can in whatever conditions you can and knowing you'll be better for it. so, yeah "running" is pretty accurate.

I think I give a pretty good description here. http://runpreservation.ning.com/profiles/blog/show?id=2003843%3ABlo...

This site is about how simply jogging or doing the occasional 5k does not make you a runner. I have played backyard football, but I am not a football player. Joggers are kind of like casual runners who really aren't part of the community. They're more like posers. I'm gonna put together a list for my next blog to articulate what I think determines a runner vs being a jogger.

41:19, but the interesting thing is that two weeks later, I ran a half marathon that was on the same course as the 10k (just rearranged a bit, with a few miles added), and if I had run the 10k at the same pace I ran my half marathon, I would have go…
