who needs stinking compression socks when you are racing in Perl Izumi's...... heheheeeee.... I prefer orthopedic knee high socks with yellow stripes. there stylish and very ooooooohhhh....... so nice and tight.......... ok seriously, I think compression socks help with minor swelling, but so does, rotating between elevating your legs and soaking your feet in a cooler full of ice cold Black Butte Porter. if elevating and soaking doesn't work, then just stick to drinking a Black Butte Porter, it tastes a lot better and for us members of RPS the swelling never really goes away we just keep on running 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
