Anyone doing a race on Thanksgiving? I'm actually going to be running a half marathon that morning (before a nice full Thanksgiving Dinner). Just curious what anyone else is doing.

just finished the atlanta weather channel half. my very first half and it was great. missed my goal pace by :20 seconds per mile but now i have a standard to judge myself by.
i so wish there was a half marathon going down around here... all we have is a bunch of crappy 5ks and a 4 miler. booooooooo! i just went out and did 7 miles and then crunches and whatnot. good luck with your race!
Good race, I was pretty happy with my time, but not with my placement. Got 7th in my age group, which I guess is good, but I like actually getting called up at the awards ceremony. Still, can't complain, since I beat the time I was aiming for by 4 minutes, and I feel pretty good about Thanksgiving dinner now.
I want to know what idiot decided that "turkey trot" would be a great name for a thanksgiving race...and then the other 5 million race directors who decided to copy him. Alliteration is overrated.

Fast Freddies Five Mile Foot Feast. 82nd out of 654. I was running with a friend in his first race, I stayed with him and didn't run like I normally would have so I was a little slower than I would have liked. However it was running and with warm up and cool down it was a total of 7 miles for the day.
no! what is that?! all that and just girl time this weekend? but it's cool we're running part of pike's peak sunday :)
ha! this is crazy! forget saverun, this should be savemen! thanks for listening to all the bitching!
