Below is an e-mail from Andy the race director of the McNaughton 50, 100 and 150 in Perkin, IL. Andy moved to Vermont and the race will be there in 2010:

McNaughton Registration is open. 30 Mile, 100 Mile, and 150 Mile. Great course in the Green Mountains. Great venue! Don't miss it! visit www.runrace.net for registration info. Race is May 7-9, 2010. I'm working on a new McNaughton webpage but this will do for now. Cheap entry fees until August 1st and then the price goes up. Hope you'll join us in Vermont.

Thanks. 50 miles is a pretty fun distance, Thinking one more 50miler this year, then may try a 100k.

50 miler advice: stay hydrated, have a goal time is mind, conserve energy, walk the uphill and run the flat sections. Have fun!!

Running the NorthFace 50miler in Washington this coming Saturday, Excited, will be the greatest distance I've ever run. Any advice?

I'm thinking of the rocky mountain double marathon by cheyenne, WY or the 50 miler in leadville, CO and the Run Rabbit Run in Steamboat. I'd like to do a 100k in place of a second 50 mile but don't know of any locally here in CO. Any suggestions?
