CURRENT NEWS

RACE UPDATE

I survived the Utah trail race and relay. it was 11.5 miles I ran it solo and finished 4th overall with a time of 1:38:38. I also beat more than half of the relay teams, which felt great.

It was a great run and I'm feeling the burn in the joints and the ache in my feet tonight.

My Peak XC's kept my feet under me and felt great, they have been wearing well but I'm thinking it might be time to get another pair.

Wheres Karl

On August 5, 2008, uber ultra-runner Karl Meltzer set off on the biggest race of his life. His challenge: to run the entire length of the 2,174-mile Appalachian Trail in less than 47 days. Definitely daunting. Absolutely grueling. Probably insane. But when he does it, he’ll rule the AT as the guy who conquered it, all of it, the fastest on two feet. This is going to be Man vs. Nature, Man vs. Self, Man vs. Clock – and it’s going to be good.

Thanks, you too (luck). I ran a 15K at the Homestead. It was fun and not as easy I was hoping.

I finally was able to take a peek at your blog and I like it. I was going to send you the link to mine, but it so pales in comparison to yours, that I won't do that until I improve upon it. I'll keep reading yours, if you keep adding to it.

Okay, I entered the run in the mud contest and I looked at the mud run in Vail in June. That looks to be a great, fun weekend. I'm talking with a friend or two now to see if I can entice them into going, so thanks for giving me the 'heads up' on those two events. I was hoping this site would lead to race information sharing and it finally has! Oh, and I'll be taking a look at your blog as soon as I can. I started one about one week ago, but I haven't put much into it. Time to hit the trails!

Thanks - that's really pretty. I hope I can do that.

That's funny, we'll both be in Provo Cyn on the same day, doing different races. I'll look into the contest, thanks. Mud race in Vail, Colorado? Do you have a link to that so I could check into it?

Doing the Bridal Veil Falls 10K on the 30th. The Run in the Mud contest sounds fun - can you send me the link to the site? I haven't heard about that one, but I like the sound of it! Are you doing it?
Thanks for the friend request!

Don't think I'll ever finish a 10-miler in 53, pretty impressive.

I hate that I had to miss it, even more so now that you say it was fun. But there will be more, and I won't miss them!

I have an australian shepherd and he LOVES to run. In fact you have to run them or else they'll find ways to get in trouble when you're not around. I run him in the morning for 4 miles and then my wife will run him in the afternoon. They are great...
