Hey, thanks! It was pretty amazing. Here's my race report:

Did you enjoy your 26.2 training run?
Less than 2 weeks 'til Frederick and I'm feeling pretty good. At this point I'm just trying to make it through the last couple of speed/tempo workouts and stay healthy. I'm in taper mode. The Ragnar sounds very cool (I'd already researched it before you posted), but the timing puts it only a couple weeks before Baltimore. Maybe in 2009!
I was talking with another runner after a 5K this past weekend and he confirmed what I'd heard about the JFK: that it's essentially a 50 mile buffet. He said he actually over-ate during the run a few years ago. That's cool that the course finishes so close to your house. The Frederick Marathon used to pass about a block from my house, but unfortunately they changed the course this year.
Have you run Frederick before? I've been targeting it for over a year now and I'm getting pretty excited now that there is less than a month to go. I guess it'll be just another long run for your ultra training, although one that comes with some pretty nice gear (the finishers' jackets look sweet). I've heard nothing but amazing things about JFK.
It's great to see another Maryland runner (especially one who's also doing the Frederick and Baltimore double). I'm hoping to do the JFK in 2009 or 2010, but right now I'm focusing my training on the marathon distance. I guess I'll see you on May 4!
i always picture myself either crying or screaming something like "hell yeah!" if i win... but i know what you mean about being too tired - it's like any kind of reaction to crossing the finish line is far beyond your realm of thought.
i'm doing my first full marathon in 40 days (i'm ridiculously excited) but i'm not at the point where i can even wrap my mind around a 50 miler... what was that like?

The doughnut run is so amzing, first you start out eating a doughtnut then run a lap, and you repeat this until you throw up, if you do not complete the 400 in given time, do not eat doughnut in give time, or bitch out. you are out.
