umm im not sure. i digest the red meat okay i just don't take as much iron and protein from any kind of meat like i should. i just got a call today though and my iron is the highest it's been since i've been seeing him and my protein is where its ...
they just switched me to that a bit ago and i just got more blood work done to see if its helping. i sure hope it is im sick of meat. im not really sure why they didn't put me on it before he's supposed to be this top notch specialist.
I run cross country and distance in track. I definitely like cross country better since you don't have to run in a circle the whole time. Winning state by 38 seconds with a snapped bone in my foot was the highlight of my xc season.

After you get over 50 miles a week it's called something special like "extreme mileage" But I don't really know. When you get that high it gets dangerous, because if you increase mileage to quick you can get hurt easily. I'm sure you'll do fine during track. It doesn't take that much to get in good enough shape to do well in the mile or 2 mile.
Just because the more you run the more you build your core muscles and increase respiration. Different people train in different ways though. I need a good base to race well, even for a 2 mile race. That way i run a consistent race. My best mile time last year I ran the splits 69, 71, 70, 69. Your coach may not need to run as much as i do to do well. My friend qualified for Boston (3:10) running 20 miles once a week for 2 months because he hurt his IT band.
30 miles is still a lot more than most girls are running in the off season. I think my quad just hurts because the muscle is so stiff. I've tried stretching and it seems to work pretty well. It should be fine. I need to get my mileage up for the Gasparilla 15K at the end of february. Then I should be fine for track!
I think I strained or tore a muscle in my quad last may, and it's still been hurting pretty bad so training hasn't been going like I want it to. I'm only hitting about 45-50 miles a week when I really wanted about 70. I'm going to do a race in a little and that should tell me where I'm at. Hopefully where I'm at is a lot further than I think I am lol
Well, what are some of the biggest colleges that have contacted you? I remember last year I was just swamped with mail from colleges, but just because my SAT and ACT were pretty high. It's pretty funny because besides the Air Force Academy, the rest of my college choices were all D3.
Thats funny, because I've only gotten one offer from some back woods, D2 school. I'll probably walk on, just because I would have to be pretty insane to be recruited. With all of those offers that opens a lot of doors for you. You could go to a college of your choice with a full scholarship for running, get a degree in business or whatever you want and open a bad ass restaurant. What are the major colleges that have contacted you?
Tonight I ran on the grass median of the biggest road in my city for several miles. Its the only way I can get off the roads, the majority of which don't have a bike lane. I just found out today that I was accepted into the Air Force Academy, which was my first choice for schools. I've been out there a couple of times and they have amazing trails and courses all around. Are you a senior? If not those are incredible times, if so those are still incredible times but have you been contacted by colleges wanting you to run for them?
I need competition to race well. In my county I would run a 17:20 or something and win by at least 20 seconds. Then I would go to a huge meet and run a 16:30 but place 10th. My city is not designed for running, so we run around the soccer complex and it sucks. I cant race well on that. When I go out of county there are runners I can pace with and there are actually legitimate courses where I can run a good time. It really sucks for training when I have to run on the road all the time because we don't have any trails. Then people yell "Queer" and other things when they drive past. I can't wait to go to college.
For us we have to place top 4 at districts, then we go on to regions. If you place top 4 there you go to state. I'm in the same district as the two fastest 3200 runners in the state, so I have to run almost without the possibility of getting better than 3rd. Next year our school is moving down a class from 3a to 2a, where the competition wont be nearly as tough. I'm graduating this year so I'm glad I get to race the fastest people in the state. There is an all out debate on another running site I'm on about who has the toughest region, and we're a class below them.My junior year in xc I ran a 16:52 and placed 16th, where the top 15 advance to regions, about 3 seconds behind the next person. I was pretty pissed, but I would rather run times like those and not make it than run slow times and go to state.
The doughnut run is so amzing, first you start out eating a doughtnut then run a lap, and you repeat this until you throw up, if you do not complete the 400 in given time, do not eat doughnut in give time, or bitch out. you are out.
