Ever run on black ice and fall and break something? That is not badass, that is counter productive. You miss running days when you are injured. Somedays you run on the dreadmill to be on the safe side and get your run in. The next day when the weath…

Sure thing I will stay safe as I can. I just got an email from some folks saying on the Oct 28th there will be a PBS specail on the war here. It will be part of my area for the ground guys if you are interested. I will try and see it. I am sure I will see some people I know or have picked up and I might even see one of my team mates or even me.

Take care! I am gonna do 7 miles later today.. I have a down day so I have to get the running in when I can. My new shoes are working out really great. I am for sure tired of running on rocks all the time. My feet are paying for it but not as much anymore.

Gotta love that candy corn and turkey!! DONT FORGET HOME MADE PIES!!!!

I enjoy trails plus it takes your mind off what you are doing and before you know it there goes 5 miles and so on. I use to run all over the place in Germany in the hills and bike like all day. As for Afghanistan it's ok... I got to see us in the news on the 22nd of OCT were some one got us on tape doing a hoist while under fire.... I think the MSNBC guys up in what we call the Dirty Dirty. Hey run a few trails for me and let me know if there are any cool ones you find. I have a few more months till I can go and enjoy them again. Enjoy all the time you can with your family you can. Its about trick or treat and gobble gobble time!

I've also discovered how nicely stress disappears when running. It is totally amazing! So where is Florham Park?

About Me:
I started running again in 2003 to keep in shape. I added
triathlons to cross train and got hooked on them as well. Since then I have run 19 marathons, a 50 mile ultramarathon and many triathlons, working my way up to 2 IronMan finishes at Ironman Florida in 2005 and ChesapeakeMan in 2007. One of my goals is to run a marathon in all 50 states and one on each of the 7 continents, and continue to do an Ironman every couple(or few) years. I started doing ultra marathons last year with the JFK 50 miler I will be stepping it up to a 100k next spring and then eventually a 100 miler.

I like to challenge myself and have fun along the way.

I have 2 little girls, Amber and Corinne, and an amazing wife Melissa, who are my biggest fans and my motivation. My most recent major events this year are the Rome Marathon (which I did on my honeymoon), the NYC triathlon, the Turkey Swamp (almost) 50K, and The Yonkers Marathon. The Breakers Marathon, the NYC Marathon, the Las Vegas Marathon, and the National Marathon

41:19, but the interesting thing is that two weeks later, I ran a half marathon that was on the same course as the 10k (just rearranged a bit, with a few miles added), and if I had run the 10k at the same pace I ran my half marathon, I would have go…
