yep. going for 90 this week. it looks promising but shit seems to have hit the fan today... death and broken cars and dickweed guys are not great motivaters... or maybe they are. we'll see.
so there's this lady who opens the rec center in the mornings. her dad just died. and the only fucking reason anyone bothered to fucking tell me was to see if i could possibly come in at 5:15 in the god damn morning to open the fucking place. wow. thanks. especially to my boss. i've kind of stopped giving a…

Is it just me or does it seem as though 'chatter' on this site is a little quieter than it used to be? I know that some of us are now friends on other social sites and 'talk' there and that could be the reason. Or it could also be that I'm just not on this site as much as I used to be? Does anyone else out there feel it's changed?

i am currently taking my first rest day in about 2 months. i kind of feel like shit. i hate taking rest days but my body just did NOT want to cooperate today. so i sat around and ate and now i feel even worse.
i think my diet needs a little makeover. i used to be super super super careful about what i ate and lately i've just been piling in a bunch of shit. last night? i had cookies and cream ice cream with a brownie mashed in it... i know it doesn't sound like that big of a deal bu…

So for various reasons, I've taken the last two months "off." I put "off" in quotations because obviously I couldn't resist the occasional swim/ride/run (and I have to sometimes for work, so there : P ). But today was the first official day back, on a real live training plan, coach's orders. It was just a swim, but it was solid for me, and it felt good. It was a great way to get back on my feet. I'll be training a lot here very shortly because I have three traill halfs planned for this winter, i…

so i ran my first 10k in nearly a year. yes, of course i won. but i have no idea how. my time was crap - i made it to the 10k point in a half marathon at altitude nearly two minutes faster than i did this morning at a lower elevation and on a flatter (except two pretty painful hills at the end) course. i'm not complaining. wait, yes i am. it's just a little frustrating.
but all's well. got me an "uber-sexy" race shirt... well, that's what the race's web site said. i gotta say, though, they did…

Ok, so even though I haven't been on Save Run for well over a year, I haven't been sitting around either. I did the Buffalo Springs Half Ironman this past summer, as well as of couple of half marathons, and about 20 triathlons over the past year. I've had a lot of health problems, which I finally seem to be recovering from. I'm telling you, running can fix anything.
I'm coaching now, a kids' team, the UNT and TWU collegiate teams, and as an endurance coach at Lifetime Fitness. Not to play favor…

We had a cross country meet in Grinnel yesterday, and their team is one of the best in the state. I don't really focus much on placing or team stats. Just about improving upon my own times and stuff. I got a side stitch at about 4.5k into the meet (5k race). This is normally where I would push for my finish and pass a good number of people and make a good time. My side stitch was so bad I couldn't breath, and I just couldn't push through it. I still had a decent time, but it makes me wonder how…

This is about a month late, due to just returning from deployment, but while in London about a month ago, I decided to look up any races being held in the area. There was one race, at Greenwich park, which was only about 2 miles from where my ship was moored. Now, due to the nature of the Navy, I couldn't go by myself, I had to take a liberty buddy. Knowing full well that the only other officer who would do this race with me was on duty, I talked a mostly out of officer into running it with me.…

I had no motivation today. None at all. I was supposed to go on atleast a 30 minute run for xc and I needed to go lift for soccer. So, after lunch I finally sucked it up and went to the local YMCA. Went through a pretty good lift, grabbed my portein shake, chugged that down, waited half an hour and went on my run. Even though I kept feeling that protein shake come back up on the first part of my run, it was one of my best runs. I feel great, and I felt like sharing that. ha ha

i just ran a 1:27:20 half marathon.... it's a pretty good time. it's better than last year. but it was soooooooo disappointing! when i passed the half-way point, the clock said 40:26 and had i kept going that pace i would have had myself a lovely 1:21 or so. god damnit!!!! i knew i needed to slow down in order to not completely die later on and i didn't think i slowed down that much but... shit i must have.
well... we'll see what the "official time" is. i didn't start right at the front so i ha…

While I was doing my Doctoral dissertation, I had some questions constantly in my mind. “How would I complete my dissertation paper?”; “Will I be able to write my
PhD dissertation?”; “Will Dissertation writing be easy for me or not?”, all these questions always lingered in my mind.
And it was really a nightmare when I started writing my
doctoral dissertation. I obviously tried to utilize every poss…

The process of creating a proper research paper is tough work. It requires you to develop a firm understanding of a topic you've in many cases never heard of and then form a thesis which you must support with your research. The key I found to smoothly writing a research paper is to research properly.
A
college research paper is a piece of academic writing that requires a more abstract, critical, and thoughtful level of inquiry than you might…

The most common writing requirement in upper-division courses is the term paper. The importance of the term paper tends to be neglected. Why is a term paper so important? The main reason is that it will make up a big part of your final grade. You might be deceived as to its importance because most teachers will not give much class discussion time to these papers. When your instructor does not give you detailed instructions for your
term paper writing…

It was such an embarrassing situation for me when I had to finish my college

You need to be very cautious when selecting a
resume writing service as anybody can put up a sign that they write resumes. In fact 1 company that secretly positions itself “#1” really sends the resumes abroad to be produced and produces very awful broken English resumes. Other companies providing
resume help deliver nothing more than a prettier format of what you have.
So here’s how the indus…

Speech writing is in lots of ways similar writing a paper, apart from that there is no penalty for spelling and punctuation mistakes. You should not try to write words in your speech that you are not relaxed pronouncing or don't know the meaning of because it can lead to a less fluently delivered speech.
To be able to write a high-quality speech is a lot like making a good cake. Having the right elements is key for it's success. Every…
